I saw a note in The Deep Creek Times, (The best source around for Deep Creek Lake news and goings on) that The Associated Press moved a story earlier this week on ice fishing at Deep Creek Lake which ran on several online news sites including washingtonpost.com where you can read the story here. The story originated in the Cumberland Times-News earlier in December where it can also be found on that paper’s site.
When the lake is frozen over, it is quite a site to see whether you are walking, fishing, snowmobiling or parasailing. Here are some of the frozen lake shots I have captured over the years at Deep Creek Lake, MD. (please see more photos below)
