Deep Creek Lake is the largest lake in the state of Maryland and is close to 4,000 acres in size. The lake is surrounded by the Allegheny Mountains so there are plenty of vantage points
to view its expansive waters.
This photo was taken just after sunrise from one of those mountain tops and I was drawn to the several layers of fog that sandwiched the mountain range of the other side of the lake. Almost on cue, a bird began to fly into the scene in the lower left hand corner of the farm.
It reminded me of the great views of the Blue Ridge Mountains I used to see every summer while visiting my family in Asheville, N.C.
As always, thanks for visiting my blog.

Love this image. The golden hues combined with the morning fog between the mountain ridges makes for a bewitching image.
