Good Morning Mr. Blue Jay
Blue Jays have not been as plentiful at our feeders this spring as the nesting bluebirds appear to dive bomb the jays anytime they get close to their house. Occasionally one does perch on our shepherd’s and I was lucky to catch this shot one morning last week.

A Pileated Outside My (Home) Office Window
Last week while in my home office in Northern Virginia, my wife texted me from downstairs… look at the pileated! From my second story window I was nearly on the same level as this fantastic bird. Isn’t amazing what you can photograph in your own backyard?

Happy Monday! I shot these colorful flower photos a few years ago during a trip to a garden in Pennsylvania. For me, photographing flowers is akin to watching fireworks. The colors seem to jump out at your and radiate from the center of the plant. (please see below for two additional images)
