Several years ago on the way to Deep Creek Lake in Garrett County in Western Maryland, I made a brief stop at the Route 219 overlook. The view is expansive and the lighting is dynamic so you can always get a different look. (please see more photos and text below.)
On this particular morning, the weather forecast said a storm was on its way into town. As I got out of my car to get my gear, I looked to my left and saw what resembled the light from Heaven dropping from the sky over the horizon and the numerous farms below me. It was quite a grand view.
While Garrett County is best known for Deep Creek Lake and the WISP resort that offers four season activity, you will find another treasure trove of photo opportunities in Garrett County’s country roads and rolling farmland.
Many of the farms in the county invite visitors to tour their grounds.
The 219 Overlook is located at such an elevation that at times you feel as if you are taking aerial photographs.
T0 view some other of my posts that feature photos taken from this same scenic view pull off, please visit Panorama-mamnia and Garrett County Farm Scene.
If you have a preference on which of these three you like the most, I would love to get your feedback and comments in the comment box.
Thanks for dropping by and have a wonderful day, Rob

Really love the brooding soft color of the last one.
thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! Happy Holidays, Rob
I’m a Western Pennsylvanian who went to college at Frostburg State. Travelled through this area many times and have experienced its great beauty and changeable weather. Lovely photos.
Thanks so much for the nice comment. Frostburg is a cool place, must have been fun to go to college there.
Such a great photo. Rob, how can I add my name on my photo’s in my blog on the photo like you did? Jackie
Thanks Jackie. You can easily add your name onto your photos using Photoshop, Photoshop Elements or even with MS Word or Apple Pages.
Thanks for the advice! I have MS Word. Bless you for your help!
The middle shot seems more hopeful to me. You pulled back and the tone is lighter, lovely.
Thanks for your feedback!
My favourite is the black & white one. As you side, seems like light from Heaven dropping from the sky over the numerous farms.
Congrats.
thanks for your comment! Rob
