Painted Windows

rob paine painted windows two

This week’s WordPress weekly photo challenge topic of windows is my most favorite to date. This quick post includes three of my window photos reimagined via Photoshop. See more text and photos below.

Would you like to see more of Pittsburgh as seen through  my viewfinder? Please check out Framing Pittsburgh.

The top two photos were both shot in Pittsburgh, shots I have written about before. The photo on the bottom of this post was taken out my office window.

Framing is so crucial in creating a good photograph and windows lend themselves so often to that cause. The also can filter light and highlight graphic patterns as shown in the photo below.

Windows are very meaningful because like  viewfinders  they frame how we see the world around us.

    1. I did that in iPhoto for Ipad, which is a wonderful app. The effect I implemented was the equivalent of paint daubs in Photoshop, sort of gives it that water color feel. Thanks for the comment, by the way, I think Pittsburgh is one of the coolest places I have even been to take photos.
