While taking a spring photo drive in Garrett County (MD) early this year, I photographed this old election house in the Sang Run area of the county. (Please see below for another photo and more text)
According to the sign the front of the structure, the house was used as a polling place for 100 years, from 1872-1972. It is remarkable to think this small building has stood for more than 140 years.
It sits next to a country road and a beautiful little creek.
Talking about voting, thanks to everyone who took the time to vote on their favorite photo of the week. I truly appreciate your time and value your feedback. The survey is still open if you would like to choose your favorite.
Thanks for checking out my blog this morning. Have a wonderful Monday!
