I See Beauty All Around

One of my favorite times to take photographs at Deep Creek Lake is early in the morning in the spring or fall when a dense fog envelops the area. This photos was taken near the entrance to the WISP resort a few falls ago. This is not actually Deep Creek Lake but a small pond near a private residence.

While I love photographing Deep Creek Lake, sometimes I like to journey into the surrounding area where there are a lot of farms, old houses and beautiful country roads. On one of those short trips I saw this and nearly slammed my breaks on to stop so I did not miss this eerie scene.

If you are planning a trip to the Deep Creek Lake area be sure to leave some time for a small side trip to see the surrounding countryside in Garrett County. It is truly a beautiful place.
