Wishing all of my friends on the East Coast the best this weekend during the big snow. The photo above was taken during the last major storm in the D.C Area. Please don’t forget to make sure our feathered friends have something to eat as most of their regular food sources might be several feet under cover. To get an idea how much snow Northern Virginia has received so far as of 5pm Friday afternoon, check below.  Love birds? Check out a gallery of my bird photos by clicking here.

This is how the same feeder looked at 5pm, today,  Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, after several hours of snow. Check back tomorrow afternoon  to see how much snow is on the feeder after 19 or so more hours of heavy snow!  Thanks for stopping by and stay warm! Rob

Ours too. I have never seen so many cardinals at one time, as many as six in one instance.

Such a great reminder, our bird populations are going to need a bit of extra help.

Thanks for the reminder. I bought extra bags of bird seed for this weekend. Had plenty of birds (and two squirrels) eating all afternoon. I’ll replenish first thing in the morning ~ if I can find the feeder through all the snow 😉
