As The Wiz is being performed live on NBC tonight, I thought it would be appropriate to post this photo today of the Washington D.C. Temple inKensington, MD, as seen from the Capital Beltway.
The temple which is an operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, is often compared to Emerald City in the Wizard of Oz.
The temple takes on a special look each December during its annual Festival of Lights.
