
Swallow Falls State Park is one of the most popular destinations in Western Maryland. (Please see below for more text and another photo)
The park includes waterfalls and miles of walking trails. It is a great place to cool off in the summer and always offers numerous photo opportunities.
This photo was taken late one Sunday afternoon of the smallest falls in the park, Tolliver Falls, where I like to focus my attention when I visit Swallow Falls.
I waited patiently as the sun dropped below the tree line so I could get the light filtering through the foliage. I shot this photo at a shutter speed of a 30th of a second to give the falls that nice smooth look.
