2014 Year in Review : Inside a Flower

Before 2015 gets off to a roaring start,  I thought it would be fun to look back on some of the most viewed and most “liked” posts on this blog. I may also throw in a couple of my personal favorites that may have not received that much attention their first time out. For some of these Year in Review stories. I will also provide a link to the original version.

For those of you who missed these posts the first time out,  I hope you will enjoy  them.  For those long timers  I hope you will like  taking a second look.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has made this blog a success.

This post below Cover Art- Inside a Flower originally ran Oct. 24 2014 as part of a WordPress Weekly Challenge and it is on the 2014 ISBAA Top 10 most viewed list. Enjoy!

Photography is my first love but if I had do it all over again I think I might have considered pursuing a career in graphic arts. There is so much creativity involved in merging type and photos for things such as book covers.

This photo was taken this week at one of my frequent haunts, Green Spring Gardens in Fairfax County, Va. Even now there is a fair amount of flowers in bloom at this oasis barely a stones throw from Route 236. I would love to do a book sometime just of photos taken of the inside of flowers, perhaps this could be a cover candidate.

Have a great Friday and thank for stopping by, Rob
