Lef Lane at Deep Creek Lake, Western Maryland in the Fall

Lef Lane, a small street that leads down to Deep Creek Lake, includes some of the most brilliant color in Garrett County (MD).

Lef Lane  is a tight avenue surrounded by homes and some utility lines making it challenging to feature the leaves without including the  surrounding clutter.

This year I took a different approach with a longer lens and used the street sign as a central focus point with the colorful blanket of leaves in the background slightly out of focus. The dark shades in the tree trunk add some nice contrast, giving it a Halloween  color scheme or if you are a baseball fan, the team colors of the  San Francisco Giants, who became World Champions again last night.

By the way, I always thought the name of this street should be Leaf Lane, because of the wonderful fall foliage that envelops it.

Thanks for dropping by today, Rob

Wow. How can you concentrate on driving with such a vista. I love the contrast of colours. 😀
