Weekly Photo Challenge : Contrasts – Family Time at the Lake

All photos are about relationships:
the relationships between an image’s subjects;
the relationship between light and dark;
the relationship between colors;
the relationship between lines and space and finally
the relationships between the photographer and his/her camera.

We use the term contrast in photography typically in reference to the difference between light and dark but the word is really applicable to all the relationships included above. (please see more text and more photos below)

I shot these photos at the same place and within minutes of each other at Deep Creek Lake early one spring morning. What was left in some of the photos and what was left of some of the others resulted in a somewhat different look.

Which of the four photos (photo 1, photo 2, photo 3 or photo 4) do you think is the best and why? Please let me know in the comment box below.

    I like Photo 2 the best because it appears that you approached the ducks.. And, also because 1&3 appear the same.

    Great shots!!!

    I liked the second one. Particularly captured by the contrast between the smooth lines of the older bird and the fuzzy outline of the younger one. Great idea!
