One of the great benefits of a window in photography is the patterns it can project onto a floor or wall. See more text and second photo below.
I shot this photo at the old Lorton Reformatory in Lorton, Va.
It was early in the day so the light was cascading through several windows in the long hall where prisoners from the District of Columbia Corrections System once were housed.
One of my favorite window shots was taken last summer during a trip to Pittsburgh.
This photo was taken through a set of windows in an building where the incline arrives atop Mount Washington
