I shot this photo a winter or two ago at Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland. It is not a site I see too often.
Sun circles or solar circles are beautiful sites, though for me its hard to do justice to one with a photo but I gave it my best shot.
Seeing things like this is a reminder that you always should have a camera with you. You never know when a circle around the sun or a rainbow will pop out of nowhere.

Wow, great capture! You are so right about having your camera with you. I’ve only seen one of these, a few months ago, and only had my phone. I was kicking myself. But it was during the day, not during a golden hour like yours. Very, very pretty Rob
