The “Sponge” Building in Cambridge

I  photographed this building, Simmons Hall, on the campus of  the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass., during a trip to Boston.

Simmons Hall features many colors and  hues  in its recessed window frames throughout the building.   (please see below for additional photo )

According to a write up about the building on http://www.galinsky.com, the building is “described as ‘the sponge’ by both architect and residents.” The building features some interesting lines and patterns which even in black and white look interesting.
