Birding at Sandbridge, Va.

small sandbridge

This photo was taken during a brief visit to Sandbridge, Va., near Virginia Beach.

As we were heading for our car in the parking lot, my wife pointed to this bird perched on some driftwood. I turned around and captured the scene as the bird seemed to be glued to the branch for what seemed like 40 seconds.

The bird flew away and I had my photo.

What an agreeable bird to stay in such a pose for so long. Beautiful composition, driftwood really can add to an image can’t it?
