One of the greatest things about taking a close look at flowers is you never know what patterns you will find, especially if you look behind a sunflower.
This zigzag pattern was found on a sunflower at the great farm I visited in July in Haymarket, Va. You can see more sunflowers in my Sunflowers in Suburbia post.

nice photo- never think about photographing things from behind! If you make it to the lake soon, there is a field of sunflowers off Mosser Road by the college. They are in full bloom now
