Autumn Is Around the Corner…
Photographing fall colors reminds me a little of playing a slot machine. You never know from year to year what you are in for. One autumn may provide dramatic saturated hues while in other years you may end up seeing muted shades of yellow or red. Please see second photo below.

Fall is Fog Time at Deep Creek Lake
In the fall there are some great opportunities to capture fog on Deep Creek Lake at sunrise. Since the days are shorter, it is a little easier to catch sunrise as it is not quite as early as it is be during the summer. Please see more photos below Photo by Rob Paine

Three Years Ago : Wild Ponies
This past February we ventured back to Chincoteague, VA, to see the winter bird migration. The weather was a tad bit windier and colder than we expected but we still saw a lot of wildlife including the famous ponies.
