Happy 275th Birthday Fairfax County
Today, Saturday, June 17,2017, Fairfax County, Va., will celebrates its 275th birthday. Founded in 1742, Fairfax is a treasure trove of history. The historic Fairfax Courthouse, shown above, was built in 1799. During the Civil War, the first Confederate officer casualty took place on the courthouse grounds. (see more photos below)
