Having finally found the time to sift through the thousands of photos I shot on different adventures, I have found many cool photos I never saw the first time around.
Earlier on in my in my career, I received perhaps the best piece of advice ever, backgrounds can make or break a photo. Clutter makes it harder for the viewer to see what you are trying to show them.
These days, by using the portrait mode on an iPhone, you can instantly take care of this problem. With regular cameras, it takes a little more thought. You can use a very shallow depth of field or use a long lens to compress the background which was the case here.
If you go to see wild ponies anywhere, don’t get too close, like a shot of tequila, they can have a very nasty kick, leaving you with a black eye or worse.
Chincoteague is an incredible place to visit.
Until next time….
Until next time…
