Birds of a Feather…

Photographing birds is one of my favorites things.

One of the wonderful things about bird photography is you do not have to travel far or own excessively expensive lenses to get some nice images. A backyard bird feeder, some patience and a decent camera can go a long way.

Below are some of my favorite bird images I have taken over the past several years. More than half of these photos in fact were either taken in our backyard or close to it with nothing longer than a 200mm lens.
