I photographed this squirrel in a park in Boulder, Colorado during a family visit a few years ago.
While we were walking through the area, I noticed the squirrel on the sidewalk acting a little strange. It looked like a lot of locals fed the little guys and they appeared very accustomed to getting close to people.
I raised my camera to my face and the squirrel starting to make faces and cover his eyes like he was playing peekaboo. I shot off this series of frames and the results are seen above. It was one of the odder moments I have photographed.
Helpful Photo Tip…When I photograph animals, I always try my best to get my camera on the same level they are. It reduces clutter and confusing angles and usually results in a portrait that has a more intimate feel to it with a lot more impact.
