Processing flower photos in black and white can be a fun diversion from the following the  everyday color treatment approach. (please see more text below)

I shot this photo at Green Spring Gardens Park in Fairfax County. A subject for a strong black and white plant photo should have a great deal of form, contrast and texture whenever possible.
