With less than three weeks to Christmas and roughly ten days before Hanukkah, I thought it would be fun to rollout some highlights from last year’s  Winter Walk of Lights at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Va. which has already opened for visitors this year.

I have run many a post on the beautiful flowers and sculptures at Meadowlark but the winter belongs to the lights at this gem of park tucked away in the a suburb of Washington D.C.  (please see gallery below)

The park has spiffed up the  event’s Web site http://winterwalkoflights.com which you really should check out, whether you live in the D.C. area or not.

Admission prices to  this walking tour of lights are family friendly. It is a  great way to enjoy nature and  catch the holiday spirit. I know I cannot wait to visit soon.

The park’s Web site includes the following about the Winter Walk of Lights  : “Meadowlark’s Winter Walk of Lights, with more than exquisite 500,000 lights and displays, has quickly become a family holiday tradition in the region.  This year’s show runs daily from Friday, November 14, 2014, through Sunday, January 4, 2015.”

Thanks for dropping by today, Rob
