Everywhere in nature there are Layers. I think the challenge for every photographer is to see nature’s many layers and then peel them away until we capture the pure essence of a flower, bird, tree or beach. (please see below for additional photos and text.
While flowers are provide some of the best examples of layers in nature, I lead of this post with a photo I took at the beach a few years back, showing the layers of water and sand that can envelope sea shells buried in the sand.
The remaining images of are flowers that up close are a series of layers and covers. Like the bee photo above, sometimes flowers grow over one another forming layers within layers.
