I shot this photo during the same trip to Philadelphia on which I took yesterday’s Weekly Photo Challenge series.
The new Le Méridien Philadelphia hotel had just opened and I had a room on an upper floor. When I woke in the morning I looked out my window to see the top of City Hall awash with golden light against a beautiful blue sky. I shot this frame with a telephoto and jazzed it up somewhat in PS Touch.
Philadelphia has some incredible architecture both old and new throughout the city, ranging from historic Independence Hall to the Comcast Center, one of the tallest skyscrapers in the country. The city is definitely a good place to visit with a camera. To see a ground level view of the same building please click here.
Thanks for dropping by today! I hope you are having a fantastic weekend.

Thank you for sharing – I used to live in Philly and spent many a morning in City Hall retrieving documents or filing motions. Your image brings back some good memories. 🙂

good deal Mary. I never realized how much there was to do there until my most recent couple of trips.

LOL, the funny thing is I never did any of that touristy stuff until after I left and came back as a tourist!! Next time you go back, if you haven’t already, see Eastern State Penitentiary and you need to have some crab fries at Chickie’s and Pete’s off Broad Street in South Philly near the Stadiums 🙂
