There are county fairs and then there is the Garrett County Fair which this year is celebrating it 60th edition. The fairs swings into its final two days today and tomorrow at Deep Creek Lake and below are some of the fun things you can see, including a saw cutting competition and livestock exhibits , shown in photos below. A Very Cool Thought on a Very Warm Day : Swallow Falls State Park, Maryland.
Hopefully watching this video for a few seconds should take the sting out a a very warm day! Enjoy… – It is refreshing to visit Swallow Falls State Park on a warm summer day and stand next to the crashing 53-foot tall Muddy Creek Falls. Muddy Creek is one of three waterfalls in this state park in Garrett County. The Youghiogheny River flows along the park’s borders.

Fun Things to Do at Deep Creek Lake : The Boardwalk

There are several restaurants/bars around Deep Creek Lake from which you can enjoy a great view of the lake. Many of these establishments including The Honi Honi, The Boardwalk (shown above) and the Harbor Bar at Dutch’s at Silver Tree, not only directly overlook the lake but also include nearby boat docks and feature live outdoor entertainment. Fun Things To Do at Deep Creek Lake : Swallow Falls State Park
There is nothing more invigorating than to visit Swallow Falls State Park on a warm summer day and stand next to the crashing 53-foot tall Muddy Creek Falls.
Muddy Creek is one of three waterfalls in this state park in Garrett County. The Youghiogheny River flows along the park’s borders. 37 Things to Do at Deep Creek Lake- Visit The Aviary at Deep Creek Lake State Park
Visit the Aviary at Deep Creek Lake State Park It is not every day you get the opportunity to get an up close view of a hawk, screech owl or peregrine falcon.
The Aviary at Deep Creek State Park includes more than a half dozen rescued birds of prey that are cared for by park staff and park volunteers. The photo above was taken during the 2016 Garrett Birdfest event held at the aviary during which staff displayed several of the aviary’s birds in the park for photographers.
