Last week I posted a photo of Burke Lake in the snow. Today I would like to share the same spot photographed on a summer’s morning. (please see more text below)
Burke Lake Park, an 888 acre park located in Fairfax County, includes a a 218-acre lake suitable for fishing, boating and rowboat rental. The park also offers areas for camping, a miniature train, a carousel, outdoor volleyball courts, open fields, an 18-hole par 3 golf course, clubhouse with snack bar and driving range, disk golf, horse shoe pits, an ice cream parlor, picnic areas with grills, 3 playgrounds, trails, amphitheater, and miniature golf course.
In short, there is a lot to do and a great amount of nature to enjoy.
