Bugging a Tiger Lilly

web bug on flower

I love photographing flowers after a heavy rain. This weekend’s weather afforded me the opportunity several times over.

While shooting this colorful tiger lily this small beetle looking insect crawled up on one of the flower’s pedals.

It created a great contrast. The uncluttered background under the flower really helped to make the bug stand out.

Would you like to see the biggest smallest surprise I ever had when photographing a flower?

Please check out this post Flower Surprise I filed a few years back before this blog went daily.

Thanks for dropping by!

And that’s the beauty of photographing flowers, you never know what you will find! The strong contrast between bug and petal keeps your eye from wandering for quite some time. Love the frog too.
