Autumn Moonrise

rob paine autumn moon rise There are certain photos for which you can recall nearly every detail about where you were and what was going on when the you created the image. For me this is one of those photos. (please see more text below)

I shot this photo late one Sunday afternoon after returning from an Autumn trip to the mountains. I looked in the backyard as the moon was starting to rise behind a tall tree which was draped in fall orange.

I dropped the suitcases I was unloading from the car and grabbed my camera and started to fire away.  The way the light hit the leaves was spectacular. A few minutes later the light changed as the afternoon sun grew dim. I put my camera away and finished unloading the car.

Thanks so much for dropping by today! Rob

  3. Many of us live for moments like the one that you captured so beautifully. It brings to mind a line from a George Strait song, “Life’s not the breaths you take, but the moments that take your breath away.”
